NASHVILLE, TN, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Singer-songwriter Gabrielle Lovelace’s debut EP, Poetry In Emotion, is out now on Old Bear Records. The six-song set has landed in the Top 5 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart and brings together her love of language, personal storytelling and atmospheric arrangements.

Lovelace co-produced the EP with Anthony Hoisington and Chris Hoisington, pairing introspective lyrics with strings and theatrical touches. She describes the collection as a mosaic of the places and experiences that have shaped her. Designed to be heard from beginning to end, the EP leaves room for listeners to find their own meaning in its songs.

“It’s intentionally vague, yet detailed and honest. It’s designed to be listened to top down, so the collection creates a singular experience,” Lovelace explains.

Opening the EP with her warm, velvet tones is the ethereal “Heaven Knows.” A heartfelt contemplation on the meaning of life, the song explores a poetic perspective on both the choices we make and the ultimate passage of time we all face.

“I Don’t Remember London” grew out of a family trip Lovelace took at age four and scarcely remembers. Returning to London in 2024 helped her give shape to an experience that had lingered more as a feeling than a memory. Strings, keys, electric guitar and tolling bells evoke that longing, while a carnival-like music box outro brings the alternative-leaning track to a dreamlike close.

A companion to “I Don’t Remember London,” “Three-Quarter Rhyme” explores the origins of dreams and ideas through production inspired by musical theater and glam rock. Lovelace explains: “Ultimately, words fall short, as does music. Our feelings are too grandiose to be squeezed into three-minute offerings. But the attempt to describe them has always felt like an exhilarating dance to me. This song feels like that dance.”

On “Songs That Understand,” Lovelace pays tribute to the music that has accompanied her through uncertainty and hope. “Songs are nothing short of miraculous to me,” shares Lovelace. “They’re threads of science, math and emotion all woven into sonic tapestries which have the power to change lives. Even the songs that are hyper specific have a way of resonating with us for various reasons. There’s a universality in the specificity of lyrics and music, and tapping into the magic of that is what I’m deeply passionate about. For every unexpected experience I go through, I always thank God for songs that understand.”

The EP’s closing track, “Beautiful Blur,” infuses listeners with a soul-stirring look-back on life, love and the fact that we all carry purpose as we sojourn together in this beautiful world.

ABOUT GABRIELLE LOVELACE
Gabrielle Lovelace grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains and immersed in music from an early age. The daughter of a musician and a music industry professional, she began writing songs in elementary school, using lyrics in place of a journal. With degrees in English and creative writing, her music reflects a deep love for language and a gift for storytelling.

Following a diagnosis of Lyme disease, Lovelace turned to songwriting for solace, drawing strength and clarity during a challenging season of isolation. The result is a collection of introspective, lyrically rich songs that highlight her warm alto and thoughtful perspective on her debut EP, Poetry In Emotion.

Influenced by the likes of Bobbie Gentry and Joni Mitchell, Lovelace explores questions of faith, identity, and purpose with poetic honesty. Grounded yet imaginative, her music invites listeners into a world where truth and beauty intertwine.
